New acronym alert!

Misspelling-Laden Baseball--MLB for short. Yep, that's what I'm calling these guys. You know, the ones who seem to delight in screwing up the names of some very fine athletes. This isn't their first offense and won't be their last offense, but this one is a bad offense. Actually, it's three bad offenses all sharing the same small space.

Poor Evan Longoria got a double whammy of errors. They screwed up his first and last names. And then poor Pujols...I wondered for a second if perhaps his first name actually was Alberto, but upon further investigation, I found out his first name's actually Jose (middle name Alberto)...but of course we all know he usually goes by Albert (with no o)!

Misspelling-Laden Baseball, you guys are holy terrors on the interwebs!

Longoria I kind of understand (I'm really being charitable with my benefit-of-the-doubt) because you don't hear that name every day. But "Even"? Seriously? Is there even more than one way to spell Evan?

I think there's only one *correct* way to spell Evan. :)

I suppose the bright side is that this time they didn't call him Eva! (During the 2008 World Series, some Phillies fans referred to him as Eva--as in Eva Longoria, the actress on Desperate Housewives--to mock him.)
