Grammatical dissonance...

Hmm, something about this picture strikes a sour note with me...

There's just something a little out of tune about it...


Aha! There's a homonym error, making the description of this bracelet rather cacophonous instead of harmonious.

The music teacher at the school where I work uses CHORD all the time when she means CORD. For her, it is an understandable mixup, as music is her occupation. But, I still get a kick out of it.

Yep, that's rather dissonant. ;)

Admittedly, when I was a music student I did that a lot. But, like MarieC said, it's an occupational hazard. Now I have a problem with writing statute when I mean statue.
