Why, yes...

I am a sports fan! But, see, I'm a sports fan as opposed to a sportsfan, because sportsfan ain't a real word.

I'm so much of a sports fan, in fact...

...that of course I know that the super-hot Jayson Werth does not spell his name like Jayon. Ugh.

I'd also like to point out that in addition to being a sports fan and a girl who looooooves hot baseball players, I'm also a girl bright enough to realize...

...that when you're trying to figure out how to spell something, perhaps it would be better to actually research the thing you're trying to spell instead of spelling it phonetically and totally fucking it up. Because Scootarow might sound like Scutaro, but Scootarow is really not the correct way to spell Marco's last name. Not by a long shot.

Thanks to fellow sports fan, BILF lover, and smart speller CRANE for the Scutaro error!

Scootarow! Hehehe.

Last night, while studying, I was half-watching the Sox/Rays game (and bitching out the Rays), and I kept getting thrown off by the announcers' lack of enunciation when saying Evan Longoria's name. Not that anyone would think a Desperate Housewife is now playing for Tampa Bay, but they could at least make an effort.

At first scan of this page, I saw "two gnome runs" and was trying, desperately to figure out what a gnome run was. I pictured a little gnome running around laughing at people. That could be because I play too much Sims.

Even that nonsense doesn't compare to the butchering of his name.

@ Bridgete: Hahaha! Last year during the World Series, the Phillies fans kept screaming "EVA!!! EVA!!!" at Evan Longoria. Like on purpose, to distract him. If he heard it, I am sure he was not amused.

@ April: "Gnome" runs! LOL. :0

I have never played The Sims, but if I did, I'd probably make my character shack up with a ballplayer...hehe.

I understand that being a sport sfan is big in Sweden; also among lisping people around the English-speaking world.

@ MarieC: Y'know, even if the person didn't know how to properly spell "Scutaro," I'm really surprised he didn't re-read over "Scootarow" and say "Gee, *something* doesn't look right here..."

@ David: Ja, ja!
