Go on...shoo!

Usually, seeing spelling errors makes me angry. This time, though, a spelling error made me giggle.

Apparently some seagulls were flying around the ballpark last night when the Royals and Indians were playing. (I wasn't watching this game, of course, because I was watching the Phillies beat the Mets...yeah, I just had to throw that in there!) Shin-Soo Choo hit a ball that struck one of the gulls, which made the ball very difficult for the outfielder to play.

The article mentions that the gulls had been hanging out around the field for the entirety of the series. Perhaps that's why the writer mistakenly called the guy who hit the ball Shin-Soo Shoo. By hitting the ball right toward him, making the gulls fly away, he did indeed shoo them, and they finally flew away!

While I'm sure the writer's mistake was entirely unintentional, it's kinda funny and charming given the situation, right?

It's gonna be a great matchup this weekend. Two red-hot teams, both of which have some really talented players! Even though I'm obviously a hardcore Phillies fan, I do have a sportsmanlike attitude toward any team that isn't the Mets, so I'll simply say that I wish both teams the best of luck and hope that they give us 3 exciting games of baseball!

(Granted, I hope the Phillies win, but still. I can't hate on the Sox. I don't have the energy to, haha. My baseball hatred is entirely directed at the Mets. And on that note, I hope the Yankees kick the crap out of the Mets this weekend! ;)

Hmmm. Well, all my energy is focused on hating on the Yankees so we seem to be more on opposing sides in THAT game, lol. But I'm with you on the rest. =)

Speaking of the Yankees, I'm ecstatic that they had a 15-0 win over the Mets today! Way to make the Mets look silly! :)

Its kind of like a scene out of Duck Hunt or something...except with gulls and baseballs instead of ducks and guns. The player who hit that bird really should have been awarded at least 10,000 points and a stupid cartoon hunting dog...

@ Dave: Great idea, haha! (By the way, I used to LOVE Duck Hunt!)
