Well, that's kinda harsh...

Prosecution? Nope. Apparently these folks have a different way of dealing with trespassers...

KATHERINE, who snapped this picture, notes: ...As seen in the post office of (rather rural) Kasese, Uganda. English isn't the first language there, so perhaps it's a bit unfair, but my husband and I giggled nonetheless, imagining the cross burning, etc.

Thanks, KATHERINE, for finding this amusing bit of Engrish! (Does this count as Engrish? It sure counts as...something. Something funny, at least...)

That is hilarious!

There was a sign on a door at a local hospital where I live that said "Door Lock After 8pm. Don't To Open."

I saw it a couple of times (of course when I didn't have a camera with me) and when I did show up one day prepared to take a picture, someone had pried it off the door.

The sad thing was, it was a plastic engraved sign. Someone had to have ordered it and someone else actually made it with those words.

That IS sad! Wow. I would have loved to see that sign! I'd have laughed...or maybe cried... :)

Or cried laughing...

In Spanish, "trespassing" is translated into "traspasar." Maybe that's where the mistake came from.

@ LadyStyx: Yes, that could be true, too! LOL!

@ Ruy: Ooh, great theory! That could make sense...

There was a FAILblog post a while back of a sign on a fence that read, "Trespassers will be prostituted." Who looks at that and thinks, "Yeah that'll work!"?

@ Michael: I bet a pimp would write that and think it could work for him...
