Spellchecker FAIL!

This is a good example of why decent proofreaders are more helpful than the spellchecker on your computer. A proofreader would have caught the above mistake, noticing that the sentence was nonsensical as written, and changed that word from paid to pail. Your spellchecker? Not so much!

Haha, yes, proofreading is key. I've certainly caught spellcheck failures in my own writing -- but the point is, I actually CATCH them. ;)

I've always wondered how grammar checkers can try to catch you up on things like run-on sentences or noun-verb agreement (and not very accurately at that), but they can't tell when a sentence makes no stinking sense.

@ Bridgete: And that's why you're awesome...because you CATCH them! :)

@ The Punctuator: These spellcheckers need to be implanted with human brains...but only smart ones. Not like the brains of the people who frequent Yahoo Answers... :)

What a dumb kid...boohoo cry me a effing river. Tough shit your shovel and pail have to stay in the car. What the hell why not let the kid go swimming during the extreme weather....no mess, no evidence and one less BRAT the world needs to deal with.
The Dementors are beginning to affect me I think...
