Somebody get this writer a proofreader costume...

BRIDGETE, who spotted this amusing mistake, notes that "I suppose if you need some grant money to get your play up and running, you might need some costumer support." Ha!

If the mistake just showed up once here, I'd figure it was a simple case of transposed letters (which happens to the best of us...admittedly, it happens to me all the damn time). But no--this mistake happened twice. Twice in the same paragraph, actually. And of course it's the sort of mistake that a spellchecker won't catch. But it's the type of mistake that grammar geeks like us will catch (and mock), isn't it? ;)

Thanks to BRIDGETE for finding this one!

I think everyone has a word like that though. Mine for the longest time was United. Infact, everytime I spell it, I have to slow down as I type otherwise it comes out Untied.

Mine is "because". It always ends up coming out like this--"ebcause"--if I'm not paying attention! :)

My common problem is actually adding a letter...if I'm not paying attention, I have a tendency to write "statute" when I mean "statue".

Could be worse...at least you're not *dropping* a letter. I'd hate to see what happens when, for instance, you'd forget the fourth letter of the word "public"...I have seen that error a LOT, and it never fails to make me giggle! :)

LOL. Then those costumers had better watch out!

I have problems with so many words. I also struggle with "because". I usually spell it "becuase", because my fingers are moving faster than my brain. Another common error I make is "the". It comes out one of two ways: hte or eht. I wonder if my brain has periods of dyslexia? Another word is "people". I think I spell it "poeple" simply because I use my right pinky and ring finger to type the letters "p" and "o".

LOL! I can't even use that excuse, as I only type with two fingers (holy hunt-and-peck!). I also screw up "me" frequently...I usually e-mail people to "tell em what happened" or "e-mail em with this information"...everyone I deal with must wonder who the hell "em" is...
