I know what this person's afraid of...

...He's afraid of the dictionary! See, if he weren't so scared of the damn dictionary, he'd have known by tryin' to look it up that there isn't a word spelled like triskadekaphobia. It's totally triskaidekaphobia. Duh!

Happy Friday the 13th, everyone! Don't forget to throw a pinch of salt over your shoulder...and watch out for Basement Cat! I hear sometimes he brings bad luck... ;)

I've never been superstitious. I have enough bad luck all year round, I don't need to bunch it all together on one day.

Awww! ChicagoLady, I wish that bad luck would go follow someone else around. You're too nice to have to deal with that all the time!

Oh trust me. Bad luck does follow somebody else around.

Today is my father's birthday, plus he wound up with me for a son.

How much can one man be expected to endure?

My cat looks just like that every time it sees me naked.

@ Brian: I'm sure your father enjoys having you for a son. You're funny, AND you have 8 tons of tea. Those are good qualities!

I would advise against trying to cuddle with a cat when you're naked. Cats have claws, and...um...ouch?

All my bad luck fell on Thursday the 12th this year.

As for this post, there's actually a separate phobia for the fear of Friday the 13th. It's paraskavedekatriaphobia (yes, I cut and pasted that...). So whoever wrote this is also afraid of thorough research.

Oh, no--sorry for your bad luck, Bridgete! :( But great catch regarding "paraskavedekatriaphobia"! (Yes, I cut and pasted that, too!)
