MISSPELLING MONDAY for January 19, 2009 (1 of 2)

New Red Pen, Inc. reader MICHAEL, who read this music-related RPI post from last week, found an even better music-related error for us this week. He says: I almost died laughing when I read this user comment. The fact that I was on my laptop in a public lounge didn't help. It's from a lyrics web page for The Killers' "Human," regarding the line "Are we human, or are we dancer?" (the site actually has "dancers," but that's beside the point). I thought you might enjoy it, especially following so close on the heels of the "Supermassive" incident.

This one totally made me chuckle. And I think the person who wrote the user comment is, um, denser.

Thanks, MICHAEL, for finding this one!

So in other words, this person sucks at spelling AND at knowledge of lyrics. FAIL....I love how they go on to explain how 'dencer' ties in to the song - dencer as in dence or dumber than humans. This term is rather appropriate considering who was leaving the post haha

FAIL indeed! :)

Bad spelling or million selling?

Tina Turner
I'm your private dencer, a dencer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dencer, a dencer for money
And any old music will do

LiL' Wayne

Ur girl just wanna be my private dencer
And she wanna be my private chauffeur
To ride that boy like a roller coaster

Danny Fernandez
You can, be my, be my, my private dencer girl
You can, be my, be my, my private dencer girl
Could you, be my, be my, my private dencer girl
My private dancer girl, my private dencer girl

No Question
Private dencer, lady of the street
She always dence every day of the week
She do her thing when she on her creep
For the right price she'll be in your sheets

But how could you forget Elton John's "Tiny *Dencer*"? :)

(Every time I think of that song, I think of *Almost Famous*. Best. Movie. EVER!)

Oh, that was great.

I completely forgot about that one, and I love EJ.

Damn it. You got me on that one.

I actually wore out my Almost Famous DVD I played it so much. It just stopped working and I had to throw it out.

I don't really care about EJ, but that song makes me smile every time I hear it 'cause I think of *Almost Famous*! (Actually, I'd probably hate the song if it weren't connected to that movie!)

I too think of "Almost Famous" every time I hear Tiny Dancer.

ChicagoLady, I could watch that movie every night. :) (I think a million of my favorite quotes come from that movie.)
