FOODIE FRIDAY for January 9, 2009

Mmm, what would be better than to indulge in some delicious pastries...especially when there are some very mockable misspellings involved?

I know the letter p in the word raspberry is silent, but that doesn't mean it also needs to be invisible.

It saddens me that someone on this planet doesn't know how to spell the name of one of the sweetest, yummiest, most scrumptious treats around...chocolate!

And just to clarify--yes, I am that type of pain in the ass customer who wanders around stores and restaurants, looking for word-related errors, whipping out my camera every time I see something that involves crappy grammar and/or misspellings...which really seems to confuse the poor folks working at these sorts of businesses. I have an evil streak. But you guys already knew that. ;)

Happy Friday, everyone!

Oh geeze. Now you are going to get me started on it. I already prowl the streets and parking lots for vanity plates. I haunt bakeries for cake wrecks.

Now beware the wrath of my Fuji as I go in search for Red Pen material!!

(These little adventures of photo scavanger hunts are the highlights of my days.)

Yay! Thanks, PT! I'm glad you're including Red Pen, Inc. and bad grammar mistakes in your adventures! :)

I can't believe there's actually someone in this world that doesn't know how to spell chocolate! Must have been a man writing that sign!

I think I need a bigger purse so I can take my camera with me everywhere, you never know when you might see a bad vanity plate or a bad grammar exhibition.

Haha! Yeah, that had to have been written by a man...or possibly a diabetic!

I ended up getting myself a bigger purse so I could take my real camera (as opposed to just using the crappy camera on my cellphone) everywhere with me. As if I really needed another reason to buy a new handbag... Sigh. :)

I'm so glad I found this blog! I always take note of misspellings and/or poor grammar, now I have somewhere to submit it! I'm sure I'll be making regular submissions, I hope you don't mind. =)

Hi, Bridgete! I'm glad you found this blog, too. :) Feel free to submit bad/funny writing as often as you'd like--I look forward to checkin' out what you find! (By the way, I checked out your blog, and I dig it...and it's full of good grammar! Yay!) :)

This one should be removed.
I think this person has been unfairly judged.

Clearly, the urge was just too strong and they bit off a little letter in the middle figuring no one would notice.

Hmmm... Gee, sound familiar to any of us here?

Glass houses people. Glass houses.

Brian, when the hell did you become the advocate for the apostrophically challenged? :)

All I'm saying, is that when there's chocolate involved, I don't think people should be held responsible for their actions.

Oh, and you're still on the last post. "Apostrophe."

I thought we agreed you wouldn't hit the pipe after midnight?

Or did I totally blow it like I did the other day. (Man, talk about belonging on the short bus.)

I'm so in like with you.

If a person can resist chocolate, then that person's got great self-control. I've got a mug on my desk filled with Hershey's Kisses, and I'm proud of myself on the nights when I don't take one to nibble on as I write.

Ironically, the Hershey's Kisses are the "Naughty" kind (as opposed to the "Nice" kind) that were sold around the holidays. I suppose I must not be all that naughty if I can resist taking the chocolate!

Those grammatically incorrect cakes and pastries look familiar...I know where you got this submission. By the way the employees of Petes Deli have banned you from their establishment haha.

Haha! Very funny. I'm sly with my camera. They never even saw me! ;)
