FOODIE FRIDAY for December 19, 2008

This installment of FOODIE FRIDAY features one cute error...

(C'mon, even though jucies is wrong, you've gotta admit it sounds sorta cute, right?)

And we've also got one gross-sounding error...

SHARON, who sent in this picture, says this is supposed to be "meat softener." But what the hell is that? The Googles didn't seem to know; neither did the Wikipedia gods. Do I even want to know what "meat softener" is? Which sounds worse--"meat softer" or "meat softener"? (I say ewww to both of them.)

Happy Friday--I hope your weekend is filled with sweet, yummy "jucies" and nothing too gross-sounding! :) (And thanks to SHARON for sending in the "meat softer" pic!)

Meat Softer - the easiest way to correct an unintentional Viagra overdose. Ask your doctor if Meat Softer is right for you. Side effects include, but are not limited to: dizzyness, temporary blindness, loss of gross motor control, infection, or Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. Several participants have reported that this product also does not work. Hard day? Meat Softener - A name you can trust.

That second one is the exact opposite of approximately 80% of my email.

Billy, I think this would make a nice radio jingle...if Meat Softer was ever to be advertised on the air... ;)

Haha...EVula, that's a very clever way of mentioning how much Viagra-related spam you receive!

Some people think monosodium glutamate does that; but these people think they know a different way : http://goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/gi_0199-3063960/Optimal-quality-Meat-Improver-Ingredients.html#abstract

I assume it's actually a meat tenderizer, but that's not nearly as funny. Once I get home from visiting my mom, I might just have to relabel my protein mallet. :)

Hi, Robin! That's a very smart guess. :) It's the most logical guess, so I say kudos to you for coming up with it! I stared at this sign for, like, hours when I first saw it, trying to figure out what it was. Now I'm like, "DUH." :)
