TO/TOO/TWO TUESDAY for October 7, 2008 (1 of 2)

This is one of the funniest homonym errors I've ever seen. This writer confused the infrequently-used word neckless with the more frequently used word necklace! Amazing. You'd think, since this writer is trying to sell a necklace, she'd make sure she was spelling this simple word correctly before putting together this eBay auction. Apparently Grammarphile logic doesn't hold true for those who are homonymically challenged, though.

Thanks to JULIA for sending in this picture!

Nothing quite as gratifying as a neckless acution. ;-)

Great catch!

I couldn't help but wonder if a "neckless auction" meant they were auctioning off a linebacker. A lot of those football dudes are more or less "neckless"... :)

Oh, my kingdom for the Caramel Apple Kisses! They and the Pumpkin Spices have eluded me. I've been searching for months.

Caramel Apple Kisses?!? Not only have I not seen them yet, but this is the first I've heard of them! WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT...

FYI, I found my Pumpkin Spice Kisses at Target--up near the front by the checkout lanes, not in the back with the rest of the Halloween candy...
