A sweet, coconutty Halloween spelling mistake...

Ed. note: Holy shit, there apparently is something called a macaron! Thanks, nice anonymous commenter, for the heads-up! I guess this was more of a Halloween trick on the Grammarphile than it was a treat, huh? ;)

I read this blurb and kept thinking to myself, "Something just doesn't look right here." I re-read it once more and was like, "That should say macaroni!" And then I read it again and was like, "No, idiot. That should say macaroons!"

It's great that this designer's arrangements will make even the "most anal guests applaud," but unfortunately the spelling skills of whoever wrote about this designer didn't make the most anal Grammarphile applaud!

ugh... is anyone else disturbed by the use of "anal" alongside food items?

Yeah, Jeff, you're right--that's pretty gross!

I had intended on saying this but Jeff beat me to it...the fact that the word 'anal' is used in this advertisement to relate to food/candy? Huh? I think the whole rhyme scheme bothers me too. Spice and Everything Nice rhyme, but then Meticulous and Applaud dont rhyme....oh well maybe I'm just anal (fake anal laughter...

I'm a little concerned about exactly what "anal laughter" is. That sounds...really...GROSS! LOL.

Maybe it's what eating these treats will give you ;)

Okay. I need to stop now.

Haha! In that case, I'm really glad I stayed away from the sweet stuff this Halloween! :)
