HUMP DAY GRAMMAR for October 8, 2008

In my head, I'm filing this one in the "Goddamn, I wish I'd seen this first!" category, because I can't take credit for this one. The fine folks over at Defamer happened to take a print-screen of this oh-so-entertaining CNN breaking news headline that reads: Bush pledges "we're going to come" during this economic crisis. Mind you, he didn't say (or CNN didn't write*) overcome, like he/they probably should have (because I'm assuming he/they really meant overcome)--he/they said come.

Hey, as long as we're getting totally fucked, economically speaking...at least we know we get to come! YAY!

To check out the delightfully snarky Defamer article that mocks this CNN headline, click here!

* CNN and Dubya are both notorious for making screwy grammar/writing errors. I wonder whose mistake it was--is that what Bush actually said, or did CNN misquote him and write the wrong word? Hmmm...

HAHAHA - AMAZING. That headline has SO many other issues..apparently Wall Street has already 'spent it's load' on bogus mortgages and these are 'stiff' economic times. Meanwhile the Middle Class is being shafted by the Bush administration. Well...maybe once the climax is over, there will be a little bit more liquidity in the markets...

The other things that sounded like innuendo came from Defamer.com (they made the jokes on purpose, as opposed to how CNN did NOT make their headline sound sexual on purpose). I did a print screen of Defamer's whole article, not just the headline. ;)
