He make a glorious posting on Internet message boards...

After reading this sentence, I am quite convinced that Borat has decided it would be a really funny idea to start leaving comments on video game-related message boards.

(And if this comment wasn't written by Borat, clearly it was written by one of the retards he talks about so often in his movie!)

Now that’s a piece of work! A couple of observations:

- Missing hyphen: it should be "game-making."
- He ended the last sentence with a preposition.

God, I hate myself ;-)

PS
Gaming doesn’t take guts; bull riding and skydiving take guts. Pushing buttons on a plastic guitar doesn’t take anything more than some innate senses, reflexes, and dexterity.

All occurrences of poor grammar trigger my grrrr reflex, regardless of where I see them, . . . but we do kind of have to give ESL folks a break . . . especially when we're talking about a "comments" post and not a professionally published piece of writing. I'm a native English speaker and . . . Lourd nose evan I maek plenny of typos wen i leave coments onlign! ;)

Good eye, Carlos! (And you're right--gaming's not a particularly gutsy activity!)

Hi, Cheri! :) I'm not totally convinced that message was written by an ESL speaker. It's possible, but I'm not sure. When posting, I was operating under the assumption that it was written by a native English speaker (I won't purposely make fun of the ESL folks...unless I find some particularly funny Engrish, haha!). P.S. The last line of your message nearly gave me a coronary! :)

The esl crowd is more likely to use spanglish and engrish.

I have a friend who is originally from Puerto Rico and has spoken English & Spanish his entire life. He still has some troubles. He uses the world molest as being interchangeable with disturb. Then there is the famous department store called 'Phil-eenyes'; more commonly known as Filene's Basement.

Cheers

Ha! Well, his Filene's pronunciation sounds charming; I'd probably smile if I heard that! :)
