MAD LIBS WITH THE GRAMMARPHILE, 8/14/08

It's time for another installment of Mad Libs with the Grammarphile! I love it when silly writers forget a word in a sentence... And today's sentence is:

"By _______, MySpace hopes users will have fewer reasons to leave the site--and view ads elsewhere."

Gimme an EVENT or DATE or PERIOD OF TIME or FUNNY NOUN to fill in the blank here!

Thanks, CCR--great word! Glad you're enjoying the Mad Libs! :)

I think my word for this round of Mad Libs will be "Armageddon."

By golly!

Alternately, "hypnotism."

I hate MySpace.

Ooh--good one, Mike! Different...I like it!

I hate MySpace, too. I'm all about Facebook!

Good one, Dave! :)

I think I'm changing my answer... "By *the time creepy dudes at work learn to leave me the hell alone*, MySpace hopes users will have fewer reasons to leave the site--and view ads elsewhere." Sigh.

(sigh) Another IHJ encounter....makes you wish they allowed alcohol at work.
Contribtuion Two - How about: "By the time President Bush realizes everyone thinks he looks like a Chimpanzee, MySpace hopes users will have fewer reasons to leave the site--and view ads (or chimps)elsewhere.

Freakin' IHJ. Luckily another lady in my department rescued me before he got TOO weird today. Ugh.

I gotta go with "By Mennen", but it has to be sung not spoken.

I kind of liked the idea of having it be "By your leave, my lord," although it doesn't fit well in the context of a news article.

I like the sound of that, Finchstalker--I actually think it would sound quite humorous in that sentence!
