Needs vs. wants...

Let me try to illustrate the difference...

I want you to use proper grammar, but I need shit to put on this website, and if your grammar's decent, then I have nothing to use on the website.

I want you to understand the difference (ha!) between difference and different, but I need you to not understand it so quickly that you change the sign before I can post it on my website.

Make sense now?

Thanks to KIM for spotting this crazy sign!

Thanks, Mike! :) ...How are things going with you? How's life in the 'burg?

Hey Nikki. Life in the 'burg is just about as exciting as it sounds. Nothing too much new or different, especially not in the realm of Social Security clerical work. Otherwise, there is fun stuff coming. I'm going on my first overnight hike of the season on Friday. I'm getting a new Honda Civic Hybrid next week. I'm testing for a new job soon that will hekp my quality of life (or the quality of my car payments, at the very least) improve.

What's new and exciting for you in the hustle and bustle of real writing work? Anything fun going on in the substantially-bigger city? If you can sense a hint of bitter jealousy in those words, just try your best to ignore it.

Ooh, a Honda Civic Hybrid? I just have a plain ol' Honda Civic...I'm jealous! :) Have fun with that!

Actually, I've just started to try to explore the city more (finally, thanks to weather that isn't freezing cold anymore!). I visited the MoMA last weekend, and it was amaaaaazing! Other than work, writing, and shopping too much, that's really all that's going on in my world. Oh, wait--my BILFs are holding steady at 4th place in the fantasy league, so THAT is good news!
