I'm a fan of the Phillies, but not of shitty spelling...

I was a member of the above Facebook group.

I am no longer a member of the above Facebook group because, despite my super-hardcore love for the Phillies, I can't allow myself to associate with morons who incorrectly spell the name of the city. Uggghhh.

Happy birthday to the guy I'd love to convert into a Phillies fan: the GRAMMAR STUD! (Unfortunately, he's a Mets fan, and he just doesn't understand how cool Chase Utley, Cole Hamels, and the rest of the Phillies are. Maybe when the Phillies take first in the NL East again this year, he'll finally start to realize it...okay, probably not, but a girl can dream, right?)

On a semi-related note, I'd like to wish my former morning show partner, GEOFF, a happy birfday. That's right--I said birfday. That's because that's exactly how he used to say the word birthday on the air. Poor GEOFF was one of the original victims of my Grammar Nazi-ness, as I used to pick apart the way he spelled and/or pronounced absolutely everything. (I've become much less of a morning person since I left radio, but I've become even more of a grammar and spelling stickler...)
