I can't stop being a nitpicky grammarphile even when I'm at the mall.

One thing I like to do almost as much as pick apart grammar is shop.

A couple weeks ago I went to a certain Trendy Store in the mall and tried on a really cute black shirt with rainbow stripes on it. During the process of trying the shirt on, I noticed something strange on the tag...

That's right, I'm out shopping and I notice a freakin' misspelling. Yeah. I'm a nerd.

What is this matalic business, hmmm?

I actually wondered for a second if matalic is some obscure type of fabric that I'd never heard of before. I poked around online trying to find out whether it was indeed a real word.

It's not.

It's a misspelling.

And I cut the tag out of the shirt not only so I could post it here, but also because I'd be quite agitated while wearing the shirt if there was a misspelling lurking thatclose to my skin all day long.

Hey, I was with you at the time of this 'matalic' discovery! Don't you know it's the latest trend in fabrics. ;)
